El Clasico

Today is the battle of the season. One of the biggest games in sports. The biggest game in any domestic football league. This evening is the football match called EL CLASICO. FC Barcelona against Real Madrid 10pm at Nou Camp.

Both teams are one of the richest football teams in the world. Both teams were dropped from UCL this week, but the race for the La Liga title is on. Here’s the current standings at La Liga:

Sevilla 50
Barcelona 49
Valencia 46
Madrid 44

If Madrid is still going to fight for the title, they have to win tonight. Barcelona is looking a lot better at the moment. We’re all still sad about losing to Liverpool at Anfield last Tuesday and to Sevilla last Sunday, but Barça’s game has been improving. They’ve also played bravely and haven’t given up.

Eto’o and Messi are back, but not at their own level yet. Ronaldinho seems a bit frustrated. He’s been playing so much this season, thankfully without any serious injuries and I think his is a bit tired.

With all the tension and history between Madrid and Barcelona, no wonder how big this game is and have always been. We’ll forget the UCL, Copa del Rey and all our other competitors. This the only game in our minds. Barça - Real Madrid, Today, 10.3.2007 10PM CET at Nou Camp, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
