Yesterdays Liverpool-Barça game was great. Barça played bravely and the game was very entertaining. A lot of scoring chances for the both teams. Even thought end result for the two games was 2-2, Liverpool went to the next round because the 2 away goals at Nou Camp. Barça was unlucky at the first leg and Livepool scored effectively. You can’t always win, not even every time…
We didn’t get the second consecutive trophy at UCL, but now we can concentrate at La Liga and El Copa del Rey. My personal opinion is that Sevilla has no chances anymore. They’ll probably finish second at La Liga and that’s a great accomplishment for them. Now that we have Messi and Eto’o back and they’ll soon be at their own level, we’ll win the both the trophies left.
I went to see the both games of Madrid against Munchen and both games were very entertaining. A lot of goals and a lot tension. Watching a Madrid game at a bar in Barcelona is very strange. Even though they are playing against a foreign team, the locals aren’t cheering for Madrid, but for the foreign team. I didn’t really like either of these two teams and objectively saying Bayern won fare and square. They we’re better at both legs and deserve to go to the next round.
The teams for the next round are Milan, PSV, Man. United, Bayern, Roma, Liverpool, Chelsea, Valencia. Only one Spanish team is a surprise. Two teams from Italy is also a surprise after all the scandals. I really thought Lyon would’ve beaten Roma. Three teams from England is great accomplishment for british football. Especially after the world cup, they must extremely happy and for a good reason. Althought I would’ve hoped that Arsenal would’ve been one of those teams, but I’m glad that PSV went to the next round. I’m really happy for Valencia and PSV and I hope one of those will make it to the finals.
