Big game tomorrow as Barca travels south to Valencia.
Current top 4 teams in la liga:
1) Barcelona - 46
2) Sevilla - 43
3) R. Madrid - 41
4) Valencia - 39
Barca has a nice lead against Valencia, but they’re always dangerous.
Not playing tomorrow:
Valencia - Mario Regueiro, Edu, Jaime Gavilan and Asier del Horno
Barca - Juliano Belletti and Sylvinho
Big question is also will Eto’o play tomorrow. Biggest news this week was the comments by Eto’o after last weekends game against Racing. Eto’o was hoping to make his come-back against Racing, but Rijkaard didn’t let him play until 5 minutes before the end-whistle. Eto’o simply refused to get into the field just for five minutes. Some critisism in the dressing room resulted to some acquard comments by Eto’o.
Fortunately Eto’o has cleared things with the press and the team. Rijkaard has asked the board to not make any sanctions towards Eto’o and he will not be punished.
So, we have Messi back and Eto’o probably making his comeback tomorrow. Those are the two players we’re going to need if we want to win some trophies this season. We’re in the top spot in la liga and still playing in UCL and Copa del Rey, but I’ve personally been worried with goal scoring problems. That’s were Messi and Eto’o are going to save us. We shouldn’t have to rely on Ronaldinho. Saviola performance has been surprisingly positive lately, but I don’t think he’s good enough to help us win the big games. Gudjohnsen isn’t the pure striker like Eto’o or Saviola and that’s why I don’t even expect so much of him. He should be the substitute until he finds his place in the team. I would place him as a second striker.

[UPDATED]
Eto’o has been left out of the squad against Valecia at his own request.
- “Eto’o has told me he feels his fitness is improving but that he would prefer to stay in Barcelona to continue working to achieve his peak form,” Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard commented.
Rijkaard has announced that he’s going to remain at Barça and he enjoys his living in Barcelona.
Rijkaard’s announcement is great news.
