Many Mac users have been waiting this release for almost an year now. To be more specific all the Intel Mac and Photoshop users. That’s because the Photoshop CS2 doesn’t run natively on the new Intel based Macs, but it runs by this emulating system called Rosetta. This emulating process takes a lot resources and makes the photoshop experience a lot slower. Photoshop CS3 fixes this by running natively on the new Intel Macs and the old PowerPC Macs.

This is quick step for Intel Mac users, but what about the rest of us? I’m still using a PowerPC mac and there must be some Windows photoshop users still out there. Good news for us too. CS3 has a lot of new features…!

The release is still a beta. So it isn’t the final product and it may not be stable. Although it must be stable enough or Adobe hadn’t released it. You can find the beta here. You need to have CS2 license to get the serial number for CS3.

Here is a video interview of Photoshop’s senior product manager John Nack by Macworld Editorial Director Jason Snell. At first John tells us about the release and the new features and at the end of the video Jason shows us some of this features with examples.
