So, I haven’t been posting any personal messages for a while. Meaning those messages with what I’ve been doing. Okay, let’s give it a try.

By the way, you can probably notice that I’ve updated the pages again. I’m using this system to write to my blog now. I’m going use photos from the Zooomr service more and more, but I’ll probably still use the old sites you can find at the Info, Photos, Movies links at the top of the page. Also, I write about my personal life, technology and sports and if you don’t want to read all the posts, you can just select a category from the sidebar.

Okay, let’s start. IT’S FREAKING FREEZING IN HERE…! I just can’t understand this. I’m from Finland. I’m used to life 3 months every year in a temperature below zero, very often a lot below zero. Snow everywhere and the view is the same as in the Christmas cards. Still, it’s like 5-10 degrees in here and I’m freezing. And the weirdest thing is that I’m not freezing outside, only inside the apartments. It was a shock to me at the first “cold” day. Now I’m adjusting and getting used to it. I just wear some more clothes inside. Use this radiator at my room and close the door more often to not to let the warm air escape. But there are some things that aren’t really fixable so easy. Like going to shower and toilet.

You just can’t heat the house with radiators all the time, because the windows leaks air and there are even a couple of ventilation holes, mostly safety reasons, because the houses uses mostly gas. So the house is cold every time you get to home and every morning. It was a shock to me, but it’s not so bad. Just need to get used to it.

Last week was a lot of partying. Wednesday and Friday were holidays and the schools were closed at Thursday. So I only had classes Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday was the big Barca game against Bremen. I went to watch the game to my roommate’s parents place and the game was great. They served the traditional catalonian bread with fresh tomato and half kilo of one of the best hams I’ve ever had, delicious. 20 minutes and it’s was 2-0 for Barca and the game was actually over, but the whole game was great and Barca made it to the next round.

After the game I was really in the mood of some more beer and my roommate recommended me a place very near to my place called L’ovella Negra, black sheep. It’s a famous and very international bar here in Barcelona. Very usual for Erasmus students and it was my first time there. I liked it. It was cheap, full of people all around the world. No music, no dancing. Just a lot of people drinking and having fun, playing some pool and other games.

Thursday I went to the craziest bar I’ve ever seen. I went there with my friend from the university and his roommate. The place was called Xampaneria (Champaneria). It was very special and famous in here. It was this very small place so full of people. I went there at 8pm and it was already full of people waiting outside to get in. The thing that makes it so special is that they only sell Cava (catalonian champagne/rose vine) and small snacks. We bought a bottle of cava and a plate of cheese and ham. It was 5€, more or less. The atmosphere was just amazing. There were no place to move. You had to wait around 30 minutes to get to the other side of the bar and keep pushing people all the time. You’re clothes werXampaneriae soaking with cava, because there really was no space to move and people spilled their cava all the time. It was weird, but actually kinda fun. It was a good place to meet new people, because you sometimes had to speak someone next to you when you was just stuck next to him/her. Here’s a very bad quality picture of the place. You really couldn’t take any pictures there, because everyone was pushing you all the time.

Next week I’m going to Madrid and Toledo. This morning I noticed that my camera is broken, so I have to look some other alternative for it. Also this morning I finally send my Christmas gifts and cards to Finland, so one thing less to do. Thursday is my spanish test. After that I’ll have to buy the rest of the Christmas gifts and then starts the studying for the test at January or I’ll just update the site…
